At 10:51 The 15 House was dispatched to the 200 block of Center Street for a reported house fire. Upon units responding MICU 15 came on the air and reported visible smoke from the station. Chief 1501 then requested the second alarm assignment be dispatched. 1501 arrived to find a two story multi family dwelling with smoke showing from the attic and roof area. Engine 15 arrived and secured at water supply and advanced the initial attack line into the attic of a second story apartment and was faced with a heavy fire condition. Two additional lines where advanced into the structure. Tower 15 arrived and was given orders to open up the roof for vertical ventilation, secure utilities, and conduct a primary search. Truck 2 arrived and setup on side C and assisted with multiple tasks. Engine 5 laid a second supply line and assisted with fire suppression and overhaul. Crews from companies 3, 17, 542, 73, and 9 assisted with fire suppression and overhaul. Lycoming county Rescue 13 was on the RIT assignment. Engine 4-2 and LC ladder 39 transferred to station 15 to provide protection to the remainder of the Borough.
