At 18:30 The Milton Fire Department participated in a joint training exercise with the Weis Market emergency response team held at the Weis Warehouse site on Industrial Park Road. Mutual aid from Companies 2, 9, 17, and 73 also participated in the drill. The exercise consisted of multiple scenarios combined into a large simulated incident. The incident consisted of a fire in an area of the warehouse that stores flammable products that caught fire and then spread to the roof of an adjacent warehouse causing an ammonia leak on the roof. All participating companies worked well to accomplish the end goal and the exercise was a huge success. The Milton Fire Department would like to thank Weis Markets for the hospitality and the good food after the drill was finished. We would also like to thank our mutual aid companies from the Northumberland Fire Department, Warrior Run Area Fire Department, William Cameron Engine Company and the Turbot Township Fire Company for their participation in the drill.
