At 12:47 The 15 House along with units from Warrior Run, Lewisburg, and White Deer Township were dispatched to the area of 200 Lower Market Street in the borough for a reported house fire. Milton PD, Fire Police, and Chief 1503 were in the area with no address in the 200's or any fire. While units were responding Union County 911 advised that it was going to be Upper Market Street. Chief 1501 responded to Upper Market to confirm. The Chief arrived and confirmed a working fire and advised the Truck and Engine to respond to his location on Upper Market. Truck 15-1 arrived on the scene via Academy Avenue. Engine 15-2 arrived on the scene and laid a supply line from Turbot Avenue. The crew from Truck 15-1 went to work on the 216 side checking for extension, ventilation, and removing the owner’s dogs to safety. Fire Fighters Bearce and Campbell pulled a 2" line off Engine 15-2 and made entry into the 214 side and started fire the attack on the first floor. Chief 1503 made entry into the 214 side and went to the second floor and attic with LT Whitenight to check for extension. The was no extension into the attic but the bedroom above the fire room became involved in fire due to fire running up the walls. The fire in that room was quickly extinguished. The crew from Rescue 15-1 and mutual aid companies assisted with a second line into the 214 side, a line into the 216 side, ventilation, salvage, and overhaul. No fire extended into the 216 side but it did sustain smoke and some water damage. No injuries were reported and the Red Cross assisted the parties involved. Company 15 was available at 14:19.
