At 20:59 just as Company 15 units were clearing the previous alarm at Riverwood’s CSR 911 advised of a call for a possible house fire in Milton Borough on South Front Street. Engine 15-2, Tower 15, and Chief 1501 went responding immediately. Chief 1501 arrived to find nothing showing from the exterior. Upon investigation a light smoke condition was noted inside the structure. Engine 15-2 arrived and secured a water supply from the hydrant at Lower Market Street, forced entry, and stretched a single attack line to the front door. Tower 15 arrived and the crew utilized ground ladders to ladder the building on all sides. Upon investigation it was found a stove top burner had been left on when the occupants had left the home. Units on scene: Chiefs 1501 Stump, 1503 Derr, Engines 15, 15-2, 2, 5, Tower 15, Rescue 15, MICU 15, and Traffic 15. Truck 9 was placed available prior to arriving on scene.
