FUEL LEAK

At 00:07 The Milton Fire Department was dispatched to the 500 block of North Industrial Park Road for an active fuel leak from a tractor trailer. Chief 1501 arrived to find a tractor trailer that had ruptured its saddle tank on a guard rail with an active fuel leak. Rescue 15 arrived on scene and the crew stopped the leak and contained the fuel on the ground until a hazmat team arrived to do clean up. Units on scene: Chief 1501 Stump, Rescue 15, MICU 15, Traffic 15, and Milton Police Department.

Saturday February 16, 2019 at 04:24 Tower 15 was dispatched along with co 2 for a first alarm assignment for a working building fire in Kelly Township on Colonel John Kelly Road. Tower 15 responded with 5 volunteer personnel along with chief 1503. While the initial units where responding Chief 201 requested a second alarm assignment due to additional information provided by CSR 911. The additional alarm brought tankers from companies 3, 5 and 6 and additional engines from co 3. Upon arrival, crews found a fully involved structure as well as a 500 pound LPG cylinder venting. Several attack lines were placed in service for fire suppression and to cool the venting LPG cylinder. Extensive overhaul was performed by members from all companies. Co 15 operated on scene for approximately 2 hrs before returning available. Station 15 was staffed by an additional 10 volunteers while the tower and 1503 operated at the fire. Sunday February 10, 2019 AROUND 2300 hrs Traffic 15 was dispatched to assist Company 17 with an auto accident on Interstate 80 at the 215 Mile marker West bound side. As company 17 units were en route to the crash CSR 911 advised Chief 1701 they were taking reports of a second crash at the 212 mile marker. At that time Rescue 15 was added to the box. Shortly after Company 15 Chiefs went responding, they were advised of a 3rd crash at the 213. Chiefs 1501 and 1503 along with 1762 checked the interstate from the 208 mile marker to the 216 as well as SR 147 from Montandon exit to the Turbotville exit with nothing found.
