At 10:37 The Milton Fire Department was dispatched to the 200 block of North Arch Street for a possible commercial building fire. Upon units responding CSR 911 advised that the fire was in the walls and possibly extinguished by the owners. Chief 1502 arrived to find a moderate smoke condition in the business. Tower 15 arrived and opened up the wall to find heavy charring and a few hot spots. Engine 15-2 staged at the hydrant in the parking lot of the business. Crews laddered the building to check for possible extension in the B/C corner. Units operated on scene for approximately 1 hr. Units on scene: Chiefs 1502 (Lupo), 1503 (Derr), Tower 15, Engine 15-2, Rescue 15, MICU 15, and Traffic 15. Photos by Jay Mabus. Total personnel was 17.
