Sunday December 9th brought a busy couple hours for Station 15. At 10:51 Engine 15-2 along with Lycoming County Rescue 13 was dispatched to the intersection of State Routes 54 and 44 in Turbotville for a MVA involving 2 vehicles to cover for Company 9 who was responding to Old State Road for a chimney fire with extension. Shortly after the Engine responded CO 15 was dispatched to the 500 block of Broadway Street for a partial structural collapse. Rescue 15 responded assisted MICU 15 with patient care after finding an approximately 3x3 piece of drywall had fallen from the ceiling and struck the resident. Shortly after CO 9 chiefs responded to the chimney fire Chief 901 upgraded the box to a second alarm after seeing a header from a few miles out. This brought Rescue and Tanker 15 to the fire scene. Engine 15-2 was also diverted to the fire scene prior to arriving on scene of the MVA after first arriving chiefs determined Rescue 13 would be sufficient. The engine and rescue crews assisted with fire suppression and extensive overhaul. Tanker 15 dumped 1 load of water and returned. Crews operated on scene for approximately 2 hrs. Traffic 15 provided traffic control at the MVA. Company 15 units responding to the three incidents: Chiefs 1501 Stump, 1502 Lupo, 1503 Derr, Engine 15-2, Rescue 15, Tanker 15, Traffic 15, and MICU 15. Total members responding 19.
