At 20:30 hrs. the Milton fire department along with mutual aid units on the working fire box were dispatched to the 1000 block of Hepburn street in the borough for a working building fire. Chief 1503 arrived to find fire showing from the second floor of a 2 story double family home. Engine 15-2 arrived and brought its own water by tagging a hydrant at the entrance to the complex. A 2″ pre connect was stretched to the 2nd division making quick work of the fire and holding the fire to the original fire building. Truck 15-1 arrived next and set up putting the Tower in service to perform vertical ventilation. Company 15 units were assisted by mutual aid departments from Lewisburg, Warrior Run, White Deer Twp., Turbot Twp., and Montgomery. Units assisted with ventilation, throwing ladders, and performing extensive overhaul. Units from Northumberland, Point Twp.(Tuckahoe), and Mahoning Twp. provided coverage to our first due while we operated on scene. Units Responding, on scene, and standing by included Chief’s 1503 (Derr), 1502, Company 9 chief staff, Engine’s 15-2, 5-2, 9-1, 17-2, NC 741, MC 63, Truck’s 15-1, 2-1, NC 734, Rescue’s 15-1, 9-1, MICU 15, Ambulance 5-2, Company 15 fire police, and Milton Police Department.
